The sociology of climate change is a highly important issue for the world of today. The sources i have used this week are an article on ‘The Scourge of Peak oil’, Fox news’ attack on Spongebob Squarepants and An Article regarding Malcolm turnbulkl discussing ‘The ignorant war on Science. ’The Scourge of Peak Oil’ illustrates the nature of the oil situation at the moment, it stresses the fact that oil is indeed a finite resource and it looks at life after oil. The video of fox news’ attack on Sponge bob Squarepants highlights the ignorance the ignorance of Fox news in its description of Spongebob as having a Global Warming agenda. The final article, is one in which former opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull salmmintg the ignorant war on science. These sources, show first the problem of finite resources that we are facing and how fox news media is ignoring this situation by rejecting man made global warming and then attacking a children’s show that is trying to educate children on Climate change. this is a typical response by Fox news and its viewers and it is troubling to see that in a world that needs change, many people are unwilling to accept that there is even a problem. Following this week, I will be reflecting on my sources piece by piece as i believe it will be easier to engage with the material.
